This work was produced in Ironwood State Penitentiary CA. in 1996. Theologians debate whether Jesus actually did go to hell with the sins of the world.  One school of thought has it that he did, and the other school of thought says he didn’t.  They believe that when he descended to the lower parts of the earth that means he merely descended from heaven to earth.  I disagree with that and as I stated there are many scholars that feel the same way.  It’s not one of those things that will keep you out of heaven, but I believe it’s obvious that when he descended into the lower parts of the earth that’s exactly what he did.

In this drawing he is totally focused on our Father in heaven, He neither looks to the right or the left, but keeps his gaze fixed on the Father.  He is so holy and glorious that Satan can’t look at Him but must turn his head away.  If you look in the flames you can see demons all around him. Satan knew he had made a grave mistake.  As it says in the word of God if he had known he would not have put Him to death.  But we know, that in fact it was God the Father who ordained this for it pleased the Father that he would die for our sins thus  making a way for us to come home

The digital enhancements to this picture are the black border, the text at the bottom, and some digital manipulation of the fire.
