I drew this picture a little over three months after we were married. We were married March 11, 2001 and I drew this picture June 21, 2001, well actually it took about a week to draw so I finished it on that day. I took a photo of my wife and I in the exact pose that you see and then drew each one of us facing each other with our eyes lifted to heaven.  Bette has her hands together in prayer and mine are a shoulders width apart both of us giving praise to God for all the wonderful things He has done in our lives. In the corner of the picture is a dog. She asked me if I could draw her dog into the picture, a dog that she had when she lived out in the back country when she was on the run from the law.  This dog was very special to her, her name was Maggie she was a blue tick hound. Bette said the dog looks very much like the one she had.  As you can see we only have one wing, the title of the picture makes it obvious as to why we only have one wing.  Thank you Jesus, someday we will fly with you in heaven.
